Description

Contra was delighted to announce the launch of our online event series to celebrate the amazing contributors featured in the issue 03 digital edition. The series began with Contra’s Lucas Giles in conversation with Ferdinand Saumarez from Factum Foundation, and Piratá Waurá, a scholar from the Wauja community. A conversation was held about the impact coronavirus had on the region, the reconstruction of the desecrated sacred Kamukuwaká caves in central Brazil, and the crowdfunding campaign raising money to support the indigenous community through the pandemic.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The next event will be announced in November, and will celebrate the print edition release. Please follow us on Instagram for updates.
