Marketing Manager:


Contra are seeking an ambitious, proactive and enthusiastic part-time Marketing Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for heading up our social media output, developing new brand partnerships and collaborations, leading sponsorship and advertising, actively developing new opportunities for Contra to widen its audience and reach, and helping with press communications and coverage.

The successful candidate would be part of a small, devoted and passionate voluntary team who are in the exciting stages of developing the not-for-profit organisation to new and ambitious levels. The position is currently unpaid but the successful candidate would be part of a core team building a rewarding project that is rapidly growing and expanding, with financial remuneration expected to be available in the near future and the chance to be part of building the organisation from the early stages of growth guaranteed.

The position requires strong communication skills, a belief and passion in Contra’s aims and ethos, marketing experience, knowledge of and interest in the arts and politics, independent and creative thought, and a keenly proactive approach in developing the organisation forward from the solid platform that exists.

The position is part-time and working hours are negotiable depending on the candidate’s availability.

Events Manager:

Contra are seeking an ambitious, proactive and enthusiastic part-time Events Manager.

Alongside the publication, we run an ongoing events and community outreach programme that forms an integral part of what we do. By moving beyond the pages of our own publication, we seek to make a tangible difference on the ground and positively impact our community. Moving forward, Contra is planning to develop this side of our operations significantly and require a new addition to the team to help realise these ambitions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to develop new exhibitions, residencies, workshops, panel discussions and film events, making new connections and building partnerships and collaborations, thinking of new and innovative events and building our community outreach programme.

The successful candidate would be part of a small, passionate and devoted voluntary team who are in the exciting stages of developing the not-for-profit organisation to new and ambitious levels.
